My Thoughts

i heard someone talking about perfect moments.
about how hard it is to create one.
about toiling and yearning for a perfect moment.
the words struck me odd;
it is sad to witness someone so blind.

a perfect moment...

whenever i look into your eyes
and know you still choose me
above and beyond all others.

a perfect moment.

when i can see you sleeping,
warm and secure, in the folds
of our uplifting union.

a perfect moment.

the approving look in your eyes
when you catch me eyeing
your body with spicy thoughts.

a perfect moment.

when i hold firm the knowledge;
we can simply be with one another--
indoors, outdoors, alone, or among others.

a perfect moment.

whenever i have to reassure
that all you have given suffices --
yet you yearn for improvement.

a perfect moment.

the look on your face as you
search for me whenever
we are parted in public.

a perfect moment.

when we take the time to slow down
and we pay reverence to the meaning:
i love you.

a perfect moment.

the look of joy and surprise
as i gaze into your eyes
and see eternity...

perfect moments can come
often and readily...
when you open both
your heart and eyes.
