My Thoughts

dreams and goals, nimble and elusive
?quicksilverish and crafty?
are not things easily captures;
no matter the purity of intentions.
between the dreamstealers, fears, and fate,
the pair dodge, evade, and escape?
fleeting away, just beyond reach.
ever-so wiley and aloof,
they resist bondage...

so i must release my predatory instincts.
feral. primal. determined.
they will be mine.
yes, i will always dream, yearn, and seek goals;
now i will begin to hunt them.
i know they will not come to my calls
nor songs
nor prayers
they must be caught with tooth and claw

one by one
they will succumb to my will, my actions
enough wishing, hoping, and praying?
it is time for action, devotion, and achievement.

no more excuses.
no more broken promises.
no more shame.

it is time to fly
or crash 'n' burn
...either way, it is time for action

bring it on.
